Maersk Pacific Transload Express – A Milestone Project by Liberty Steel Buildings
Liberty Steel Buildings is proud to have played a pivotal role in the construction of Maersk’s Pacific Transload Express facility in Vancouver. As the pre-engineered steel building contractor on this monumental project, Liberty was entrusted with delivering a robust and sustainable building solution. This state-of-the-art 117,000-square-foot facility, featuring 103 doors, was designed to enhance the efficiency of Pacific Northwest (PNW) supply chains, allowing for optimized cross-docking and streamlined distribution across North America.
Liberty’s scope of work was comprehensive. We provided pre-construction design assistance, including visual rendering models that helped refine the architectural vision. Our team delivered the full building package, including the pre-engineered steel structure, long-bay roof system, insulation, cladding, custom building appliques, interior liner, mezzanine structure, and steel stairs. Acting as a sub-trade to the project general contractor, Liberty managed the entire process of design, fabrication, and installation with precision and efficiency.
The Pacific Transload Express facility stands as a testament to Liberty Steel Buildings’ expertise in delivering large-scale, complex warehousing solutions. Our work supported Maersk’s vision of creating a more sustainable and resilient supply chain network, with the building leveraging Canadian Pacific’s rail service to minimize carbon emissions and reduce road congestion.
